Miss Ainsley continues to get better at standing and walking everyday. All that coupled with an increased level of bravery has resulted in her first real bumps and bruises, including a long scratch down her forehead (thanks mommy). She just loves moving around.
At the same time, we've entered into the tantrum and clingy phase. Anytime she doesn't get what she wants, she knows now to cry, whine, fuss, etc. to try and get someone to do what she wants. Mommy and Daddy try to set some boundaries on things, but we are suckers for her little pouty lip too. I think daycare also likes to keep happy babies. Hopefully this isn't a long term trend. On top of that, Ainsley has been very clingy the last few days. Mommy loves to hold and cuddle with her Bubs, but sometimes Mommy needs both hands to do things and Bubs needs to play with her toys. That does not go over well. In just a matter of seconds, there's a little girl at Mommy's feet pulling up and reaching up to be picked up. This can make things very tricky - especially trying to move!
Mommy and Daddy closed on the new house on the 11th and spent the next two days moving some stuff into the house and painting Ainsley's room. The room is painted the same colors and in the same manner as her room in the apartment. Mommy and Daddy hope that it will provide some sort of continuance to things as we move into the new house. We think the first night there will be the 26th. Another reason for the same paint scheme - it matches the nursery items that will someday be used with Squirt Number 2. During all the moving time Ainsley is getting to spend extra time with her Aunt Becky and her cousins, as well as her Nan Nan. They are helping out and watching her while Mommy and Daddy work at moving.
YiaYia (Mommy's Mom) bought Ainsley an outfit to wear on Thanksgiving - but it was too big. For the first time today, almost 5 months later, Ainsley wore her Thanksgiving outfit. Thankfully it was just fall themed (leaves, acorns) so it didn't look funny to wear not at the holiday!
Mommy has taken to calling Ainsley "Snaggletooth" because her top tooth has really started to come in. With only one tooth on the top, Ainsley has a funny off-center smile right now with just one snaggletooth. There have been lots of laughs and smiles lately, which is a good thing!
