Hey Guess What?

December was a great month in our house.  Mommy started a new job on December 1.  Daddy interviewed for and got a new job and gave notice at his old one for the end of the month.  Yia Yia and Aunties Erin and Britt came to visit for Christmas.  And on December 18, we found out that Ainsley is going to be a big sister.  At that point, we only told Ainsley - who promised not to tell.  The rest of the time we spent keeping it quiet pending a confirming doctor's appointment. 

This past Thursday through Sunday, we spent the time letting everyone know of the pending arrival of Squirt Gunn 2.  Ainsley was a key player in the announcement, even if we couldn't quite get her to say "big sister."  She got a special shirt just for the occasion. 

We waited until they read the front of her shirt and asked, "What?" Then we turned her around...

While I'm not sure Ainsley really understood what was going on, it was very important to us to involve her in the process from the very beginning.  She now can look at the picture and say "baby".  We're still working on the fact that the baby is in Mommy's belly though.  We have until late August to really get her ready.
