I should've known that things started early, but I couldn't believe when Ainsley came home with not one, but TWO goodie bags full of valentines yesterday! Thankfully she was much more interested in the cards than the lollypops attached to them. On top of that, her grandparents spoiled her too! A Winnie the Pooh DVD from Nan Nan and Pop and a bunch of Elmo stuff from Yia Yia. I'm not sure she got what the whole thing was about, but she was VERY proud of her two goodie bags.
One of Yia Yia's gifts were Elmo slippers. She LOVES them, we can barely keep them off of her feet! Thankfully Valentine's Day was also pajama day at school. Ainsley sported a very cute pink and red kitty pajama outfit and Elmo slippers into school. We did send along regular shoes so she could go outside to play, but we were not getting the slippers off of her feet in the morning. Miss Judy, her teacher who we LOVE, said that she had them on all the way up to circle time, when she took them off and was cuddling them in her arms while they had story. Geez, this kid cracks me up.
Ainsley now knows that baby Squirt is is mommy's belly. Once in a while we can get her to give the baby a kiss, but most often she's trying to reach the baby by digging in mommy's belly button - not comfortable. At least she's starting to get the idea. Miss Judy says that she's a very good mother to all the baby dolls they have at daycare - hopefully that's a good sign.
